Nigerian Insurers Association (NIA) has concluded preparations for the 2010 International Insurance Conference which will hold in Lagos first week of next month.
The theme of this yearâ€™s Conference is: â€œRevitalizing Insurance Business towards Achieving Sustainable National Economic Growthâ€. The first paper on:
â€œThe Challenges of the Global Economic Environment on the Insurance Industryâ€ will be handled by Mr. Kunle Elebute, Partner/ Head, Advisory Services, KPMG while the Dean, Faculty of Business Administration, University of Lagos, Professor Ben Oghojafor will be the lead discussant. The paper will be chaired by Mr. Olutola O. Mobolurin, Managing Director, Chief Executive Officer of Capital Bancorps.
The second paper on: â€œStrategies for Advancing the Growth and Development of the Nigerian Insurance Industry.â€ will be handled by Dr.Â Adhiambo Odaga, Regional Director, Ford Foundation. She will assisted by World Bank/ International Labour Organisation (ILO) Consultant, YosephÂ Aseffa.
The two discussants on this topic are: Mr. Benjamin Acolatse, President, Ghana Insurers Association, and Mr. Albert Okumagba, Executive Chairman, BGL Securities Limited.
