The Nigeria Football Federation and world –renown sportswear company, Adidas will on Thursday in Abuja sign an improved contract that will better benefit Nigeria football.
The new contract, according to NFF’s Head of Marketing, Idris Adama, is worth Euro 3,200,000 over a period of four years (2011 _2014). This amount excludes annual royalty, bonuses for qualification for major tournaments and the value of the equipment that will be supplied to each of the 11 national teams on annual basis.
The present NFF administration inherited a contract worth only Euro 300,000 from its predecessor, but has since gradually reviewed the contract worth.
Adidas is also fully involved in the football development programme of the Nigeria Football Federation and has contributed greatly to this project.
The contract signing ceremony takes place at the NFF Secretariat at 11am and there will be a football match between the Nigeria U-13 boys ‘team and FOSLA Academy ’s U-13 boys’ team at the FIFA Goal Project Turf at 4pm, to entertain the visiting Adidas officials.
