JAMB: FG sets up c’ttee on candidates’ complaint

ABUJA—The Federal Government yesterday set up a nationwide committee to collate complaints from candidates who have problems with their results in the just concluded examinations conducted by the Joint Admission and Matriculation Board, JAMB, National Examination Council, NECO, and West African Examination Council, WAEC.

Besides, the Federal Government has issued a four- week ultimatum to the four examination bodies to put their houses in order and devise new strategies to address the issue of massive failures recorded and the manners at which the results were released in the affected examinations.

Minister of Education, Prof. Ruqayyatu Ahmed Rufai, disclosed this development after a closed door meeting with the Chief Executives of the Joint Admission and Matriculation Board, JAMB, National Examination Council, NECO, West African Examination Council, WAEC, and National Business and Technical Examination Board, NABTEB.
