A CROSS section of Deltans including those in diaspora have passed a vote irnplicit confidence and commendation on the Delta State Governor, Dr. Emmanuel Uduaghan and his special Adviser on Millenniurn Development Goals (MDGs), Dr. Austin Obidi for the recent on going provision of treated solar-powered water borehole to all the nooks and crannies of the state.
Speaking during a recent tour ernbarked upon by some journalists led by a media consultant, Mr. Emma Fejokwu to some projects of the MDG’s in the twenty-nine local government areas of tbe state, the people especially those in the rural communities described the establishment of the MDG’s by the governor as an laudable landmark that has boosted the lives of the people adding that scarcity of water will be a thing of the past when the water bore-hole projects are completed.
Others who spoke including community leaders on basis of anonimity called on other political office holders to emulate the gestures of Dr.Austin Obidi who they said has performed creditably well in the discharge of his duties as the officer in charge of the Millennium Developrnent Goals. They asserted that with the achievement and impact made to the people of the state by the state governor through the MDG’s, there is no doubt that the governor will receive endorsernent for a second term in office in 2011,
