Brogues, often known in the USA as wingtip, are the traditional heavy leather men’s country shoes with perforated fronts known as broguing. Depending on the degree of broguing, the shoes are described as either half brogues, semi or full brogues. While the shoe is usually in untanned colours, the more formal ones come in black colour with front lace up. However, with designers trying to make something new out of these traditional shoes, they now come in quite trendier variations of coral, metallic, patent and silver. The more glamorous ones come embellished with studs.
