ABUJAâ€”AS part of efforts being made to reform the electoral system towards an enduring democratic culture in Nigeria, many notable Nigerians including Senator Uche Chukwumereije and Most Rev. John Onaiyekan of the Catholic Archdiocese of Abuja and the Director General of the National Youth Service Corps, NYSC,Â are billed to speak on electoral reforms tomorrow in Abuja.
A statement signed by Prince Obinna Okwuaka on behalf of Amprok Technologies Limited said, there will be a one-day Workshop â€œaimed at proffering solutions that would help in the consolidation of the reforms which the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, has already started, as well as curb youth restiveness in Nigeriaâ€™s future elections.”
According to the statement, â€œWhile Senator Uche Chukwumereije will be the chairman of the workshop, Most Rev. Dr. Onaiyekan is expected as Guest of Honour with the former Chaplain of Aso Rock Villa, ProfessorYusuf Obaje as the Guest Speaker. His paper at the workshop is titled Youth Restiveness and Nigeria â€™s Future Elections.â€
Also to speak at the forum is Mr. Steve Osemeke, Deputy Secretary of INEC on the reforms carried out by the electoral Commission so far.
