Christian Chukwu says the Nigerian government should emulate their Ghanaian counterparts and find a way to fly fans and other deserving Nigerians to South Africa for the World Cup.
The Ghanaian government held a fund-raising last month to raise money to take 2,600 fans to South Africa to support the Black Stars and Chukwu says it is an example Nigeria should follow.
“We have a lot of people who want to go and watch the World Cup in South Africa. And we have people who have served this country well who also deserve to get a chance to go to South Africa.
“I think the government should do what Ghana have done, even if they have to do a fund-raising and use the money to send fans to the World Cup to support the Super Eagles,†Chukwu said.
