Saudi doctors has diagnosed Hajiya Fatima, mother of the detained former Chief Security Officer to the late General Sani Abacha, Major Hamza Al Mustapha, of Cardiomegaly.
Hajiya Fatima, 57, was flown to King AbdulAzeez International Hospital, Jeddah, penultimate week, on a critical condition and on arrival was examined by a team of specialists who discovered her to be suffering from acute cardiomegaly.
The ailment which was described by medical experts as ”pathological enlargement of the heart” is caused by depressions in the heart.
Family sources told Vanguard that the woman who returned to the country to mark the third anniversary of her late husband, weekend, though appeared to be in a stable condition, is now placed on 24-hour monitoring by a cardiologist.
Family sources told Vanguard that the matriarch of the Al-Mustapha family developed a strange illness leading to multiple shock and hypertension following report of alleged kidnap of his embattled son five years ago.
Vanguard learnt that Fatima has been weighed down by his protracted incarceration and snail speed trial.
The third remembrance was marked at the family’s residence in Suleiman Crescent in Nasarawa GRA, Kano.
