FORMER Senate chief whip and chairman, Bini Political Coalition, Senator Rowland Owie, has commended Governor Babatunde Fashola of Lagos State for the aid rendered to the ailing former chief coach of the Super Eagles, Broderick Bazuaye.
Owie regretted that Bazuaye was abandoned by those who were supposed to render assistance to him, particularly those he served during his active football days. According to him, “ Fashola, for coming to rescue our brother, Bazuaye, he has obeyed the injunctions of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ as contained in Mathew Chapter 25 VS 35-40. We pray that the Almighty God will bless you and your family for this wonderful gesture.
“We were already getting worried about his state of health and it was particularly sad because this is a man that contributed immensely to the growth of football in this country and today it was even difficult for people to come up to render assistance to him. We as a nation must learn how to help those who have worked for this country with all the hearts.
This is the reason why Nigerians cannot take risk for their father land and that is why we are still suffering un-development today†he stated.
