Ijaw students laud Jonathan over Orubebe

WARRI — IJAW stu-dents in tertiary institutions in the country has lauded the Acting President, Goodluck Jonathan, for appointing Elder Godsday Orubebe as the Minister of the Niger Delta Ministry saying that it is a square peg in a square hole.

The students, under the aegis of National Association of Burutu Local Government Students, NABLOGS, also charged Elder Orubebe to bring his vast experience to bear in the discharge of his new function intended to attract massive development to the region as a grassroots politician.

Newly elected President of NABLOGS, Comrade Wayas Ebiaremene, in a statement, said the students are very eager to see immediate implementation of massive developmental projects across the region without discrimination

They charge Jonathan to ensure the implementation of the electoral reforms intended to bring the nations electoral practices to accepted international standards.

While supporting the re-election bid of the state Governor, Dr. Emmanuel Uduaghan, NABLOGS charged him to vigorously pursue his three-point agenda of peace, security, human capital development and infrastructure development that has created the needed enduring environment.

for  cordial and harmonious relationship amongst the various people of the state.

The group commended the council boss, Mr. Frank Zuokumor, for his developmental strides in the area and further urged him to improve on same, just as they applauded him for his numerous support to the student body.
