LAGOSâ€”The Lagos State chapter of Akwa Ibom Peoples Forum, AKPF, has urged Akwa Ibom people to give their support to Governor Godswill Akpabio, saying the only his good works could be fully implemented was to give him a second term in office.
The group also called on people of the state to support the International Co-ordinator of the Forum, Bishop Samuel Akpanâ€™s aspiration for Eket senatorial seat come 2011, saying his emergence will foster more cordial and harmonious working relationship between the state and federal governments and complement the ongoing developmental efforts of Governor Akpabio.”
In a statement signed by the Secretary, Lagos State chapter, the group urgedÂ Christians and Nigerians in general to move closer to God and pray for solution to the nationâ€™s political and economic problems.
According to the statement, â€œAKPF, Lagos chapter, also calls to order all oppositions, critics and mischief makers in Akwa Ibom State, following moves to distract the present administration in the state from concentrating on major needs of the people.
â€œWe have noted that Governor Akpabio has contributed greatly to the growth and development of Akwa Ibom State and as such deserves commendation and a second term mandate.”
