Based on its heritage and client feedback support, DDB Lagos has been voted as the number one strategic partner to MTN.
A statement said that the evaluation and rankings were managed by Y_CARE on behalf of MTN Group. Y_CARE is a proprietary tool developed by Yardstick, a South African company, to evaluate the performance of appointed agencies or suppliers, highlight problem areas as well as recognize service excellence.
The assessment was carried out on all agencies working with each of MTN Groupâ€™s 21 operating countries. This honour comes on the heels of the 2009 CMO Forum where DDB was also selected as the number one strategic partner in developing a global platform for the 2010 FIFA campaign being sponsored by the company.
A recent MTN Interbrand Global Brand Valuation study had scored DDB as Number one on Communications Strategy. The survey also indicated that DDB understands the MTN brand and acts as a strong guardian for the MTN brand.
According to the survey, with DDB, MTN shows a very professional approach to its communications in Nigeria, with a well planned and conceptualised communications strategy.â€
