ABAKALIKIâ€”EBONYI State Commissioner for Works and Transport, Dr. Paul Okorie, has assured that there will be no electoral fraud in Ohaozara Local Government Area election scheduled for 10 July 2010 in the state.
Okorie at a PDP rally in Ohaozara Local Government Area,Â promised that the election would be free and fair, stressing that there would be no hijack of electoral materials.
He announced that Ohaozara Local Government was solidly behind the zoning system adopted by the state Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, in the exercise.
Okorie, who boasted that the council would cast all her votes for the PDP in the council polls,Â maintained that the people of Ohaozara would equally vote for Governor Elechiâ€™s re-election because of the Governorâ€™s performance within three years in office.
The State PDP Chairman, Mr. Dave Umahi, on his part, toldÂ the people that he has no candidate in the election.
He added that no aspirant or candidate would be imposed on the people.
Umahi disclosed that twenty-one groups had already indicated readiness to purchase form for Governor Elechi in the 2011 governorship poll.
