Anabel Mobile, Nigeria’s first manufacturer of smart mobile devices has won the Communications Week excellence award for “Smart Phone of the Year†for 2009.
The beacon of ICT awards was instituted to reward the vision and enterprise of individuals and companies that have contributed to the growth of the ICT industry.
At the event held recently at the Eko hotel and suite Lagos State, Anabel’s PS 100 also known as the Mobile Media and Internet Device beat other smart products from the likes of Nokia, Samsung, and Sony Ericsson to clench the award.
The award was a readers choice award where members of the public voted by email and sms choosing their preferred manufacturer in the process.
Anabel presently produces professional series smart phones which are indeed hand held computers, they also produce “digital media devices†which can play video, music, FM Radio as well as its ability to record voice and other sounds.
