LAGOS — Sympathizers watched in pain as motorcyclist and his passenger gave up the ghost after they were crushed by a fast moving car along the Festac-Okota road, in Lagos, recently.
The victims, who were identified as Ibrahim Kwatakwata and Fatima Garba, met their untimely death after they were knocked off from behind by Mercedes Benz car with number plate AZ 446 APP, driven by one Abiola Alabi.
An eyewitness, who simply identified himself as Saheed, told Vanguard that the driver of the said car was trying to escape police arrest as he was flagged down by some Policemen on check point along the road.
According to him, the fleeing driver drove uncontrollable that he crushed a motorcyclist and his female passenger who died on the spot before help could reach them.
However, some angry passers-by on sighting the corpse descended on the driver, but policemen from Festac Police Station rescued the driver from being burnt to death.
