Rep hails NASS resolutions on Ag President
By Daniel Gumm
WARRI—MEMBER representing the Warri Federal Constituency in the House of Representatives, Mr. Daniel Reyenieju, has commended the National Assembly for taking the bold steps to resolve the political logjam and impending constitutional crises.
Speaking to Vanguard in a telephone interview on the recent resolutions of both Houses of the National Assembly which confered on Dr. Goodluck Jonathan the status of Acting President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria and Commander-In-Chief of Armed Forces, Reyenieju noted that that single resolution by members of the National Assembly, “is most patriotic, and a clear indication that the National Assembly remains most pivotal in the process of Nigeria’s quest for democratic consolidations.â€
The federal lawmaker was equally full of praise for the Governors’ Forum for their timely intervention; an action he described as epitome of statecraft and a clear indication that the governors were fine statesmen who hold high the survival of democracy in their agenda.
