Executive ViceChairman of Nigeria Communication Commission, Engr. Ernest Ndukwe has identified broadbased consultation with stakeholders in the industry as key to the success he achieved so far as NCC boss.
Ndukwe made this disclosure immediately after his induction into the Nigeria ICT Hall of Fame, organized by Joint Action Committee on Information Technology Awareness and Development (JACITAD) in Lagos last week.
The NCC boss who was reacting to questions from ICT journalists on the secret of his success at the NCC since 2001, when he took over as the EVC of the regulatory body said the wide and broad-based consultation principle has helped him discharge his duties effectively. Ndukwe also added that the role of women in the life and achievement of a man can not be undermined.
Few weeks to the end of his tenure, Ndukwe said he had no regrets serving Nigeria to the best of his ability, and avowed total commitment to the growth and development of the industry. He further reaffirmed the agency’s commitment in investing more in human capacity development to achieve better results.
“Consultation is a very strong attribute every leader should have. As a regulatory body, NCC does a lot of consultations to avoid hiccups in carrying out its duties. My commitment to this industry will continue to be total and unshaken. I’m grateful to God that the past ten years has been quite fulfilling.†he noted.
