Redeployed Super Eagles assistant coach Fatai Amoo is not bothered with the decision of the Nigeria Football Association (NFF) to re-assign him to again work as an assistant to coach Shaibu Amodu who was redeployed to oversee Super Eagles Team B.
According to him, his stay with Super Eagles Team A was a wonderful experience, one that he would cherish for a long time to come. The former Julius Berger coach, adjudged one of the best coaches in the local league, told Saturday Vanguard Sports that he learnt so much from Amodu.
Amoo was a quite worker, enjoying his behind the scene position but quietly carrying his job to the letter. Little wonder why the former BCC Lions coach cherished Amoo’s contribution to the team.
“I have a good working relationship with Amodu and also learnt so much from him. I can tell you that my experience with Amodu was positive. Positive in the sense, that it has heightened my professional career, especially coaching a national team and I am still drinking from Amodu’s wealth of experience.
In every organization, the management or employer decides where his employee should go, the same is applicable to my jobâ€.
My boss has the last say on the plans to follow but as the assistant coach, I intend to work hard and do some necessary work that will make us achieve our entire goal especially to qualify for the forthcoming Home-Based Africa Championship.
I appeal to Nigerians to supports us in this job so that at the end we will achieve a positive result. And by the grace of God, we will achieve good result that will gladden the mind of Nigerians. They should not lose faith in us,†he concluded
