Fashola, AC eulogise Tinubu at 58

LAGOS — Governor Babatunde Fashola of Lagos State and Action Congress, AC,  Lagos chapter have described Senator Bola Tinubu, the immediate past governor of the state, as a great leader, thorough democrat and a die-hard progressive for Nigerian masses

Fashola, in his congratulatory message to Tinubu on his 58th birthday today, said: “I join your many loved ones, compatriots, friends, supporters and admirers to rejoice with and wish you the very best of this day.

“As you valiantly pursue values of freedom for all and fight the courses of oppressed persons and those who suffer injustice, you break chains of bondage and establish links of freedom and alliances of common good. Thank you for being the pathfinder and inspiration.”

In its message, Lagos AC through its Publicity Secretary, Mr. Joe Igbokwe, stated that men like Tinubu come once in a generation.

It noted that Tinubu’s great role in freeing the country from brutal civilian dictatorship was epochal and would never be erased by the desperate efforts of revisionists and reactionaries that had flowered in the last 10 years of dysfunctional democracy.
