AÂ political group, Anambra Democratic League (ADL), has commended Mrs. Joy Emodi, whose election as the senator representing Anambra North Senatorial District, was nullified last week by the Enugu Division of the Court of Appeal on the grounds that INEC was wrong to have declared her winner of the election conducted on April 28, 2007, for taking the court decision in good faith.
However, the League is baffled that the same court had in another judgment in an appeal filed by the candidate of Labour Party in the same election, Mrs. Jessie Balonwu, upheld the decision of the lower tribunal in Anambra, but this time did not see those documents tendered by Emodi with which her election was upheld relevant.
