THE Christian Association of Nigeria, CAN and one of its affiliates, the Pentecostal Fellowship of Nigeria, PFN, have congratulated the new Primate of the Church of Nigeria (Anglican Communion), Most Rev. Nicholas Okoh who was sworn in on Thursday.
CAN and PFN said the emergence of Primate Okoh who will also double as the Anglican Bishop of Abuja was a blessing to Christendom, because the pedigree of the retired lieutenant colonel shows that he is a well grounded Christian.
Engineer Samuel Salifu, Secretary-General of CAN, said Okoh is very well grounded in biblical principles and Christendom will benefit immensely from his wealth of experience.
National President of PFN, Pastor Ayo Oritsejafor, congratulated the former Archbishop of Bendel and Bishop of Asaba, describing him as a fighter who will not relent until he achieves his set goals for the development of the Church.
