Afribank Nigeria Plc. has assured its customersÂ ofÂ betterÂ quality service as the managementÂ pushes hard for repositioning following the removal of the former MD by CBN.
Group Managing Director/Chief Executive Officer, Mr. Nebolisa O. Arah, who gave the assurance in Ibadan during a courtesy visit at the University of Ibadan, said that one ofÂ the goals of the bank is to improve its services to a level where it would exceed customer expectations.
He explained that Afribank was upgradingÂ its information technology for better banking services across its network.
Arah said, â€œWeâ€™re implementing customer-centric initiatives based on operationalÂ guiding philosophy of excellence.Our customer service desk now operates affective care line that enables customers to interface with the bank for instant resolution of service issues in any of its branchesâ€.
He stressed that the bank would expand the scope of its banking services to the University community, saying that â€œwe will work to strengthenÂ the partnership that has existed between the bank and the institution for over 25 years.â€
The Group Managing Director said, that AfribankÂ would continue to explore opportunities to invest in social responsibility projects across the country.Afribank in 1985 donated a building â€œAfribank Buildingâ€ to the University of Ibadan as part of its corporate social responsibility projects. The building houses the post graduate school (MSC Banking & Finance) and Economics Department ofÂ the University.
Prof. Olufemi Bamiro, Vice-Chancellor of the University, thanked the bankâ€™s management for its support to the institution over the years.
