YOLA — Adamawa State House of Assembly, yesterday, passed the state Appropriation Bill of N67,462,945,460 for the year 2010.
Passing the budget, the House of Assembly urged the state government to release all approved estimates as at when due to avert delay in implementation.
The House also enjoined all government ministries, commissions, boards, parastatas, and extra-ministerial agencies to intensify their revenue generating efforts to meet projected targets.
It further urged the Board of Internal Revenue to review the current revenue projections where surpluses were recorded last year and evolve more pragmatic solutions to the problems of leakages and diversions of state internally generated revenue.
The House also directed the state government to meet up as a matter of urgency all various counterpart fundings of programmes of the numerous donor agencies within and outside the country so that the people of Adamawa State could benefit from such programmes.
Governor Murtala Nyako, late last year, presented the 2010 budget estimate to the legislative arm for approval.
