CONFERENCE of Nigeria Political Parties (CNPP) says the present lawlessness and confusion in the country would have been avoided if members of the Federal Executive Council had discharged their constitutional function by declaring ailing President Umaru Musa Yar’Adua incapable of continuing in office in accordance with section 144 of the constitution.

The group, however, told members of the council that their next meeting holding on Wednesday gives them the last opportunity to save Nigeria from collapse,  saying they must not fail the country in performing their constitutional roles.
