Jos: Senators’ wives donate relief materials to victims

ABUJA—Wives of the    Senators’ have condoled victims of the sectarian crisis in Jos, Plateau State expressing their disavowal to the spate of violence in the town.
Led by the wife of the President of the Senate, Mrs. Helen Mark, the legislators’ wives expressed displeasure at the level destruction of property and lives during the massacre.
Mrs. Mark while briefing the wife of the Plateau State Governor, Mrs. Talatu Jang, members of the State executive council and some of the injured parties during the presentation of the relief materials to the Plateau State Commissioner for Women Affairs, Mrs. Serah Yusuf said women in the country are totally unhappy with the unrest in Jos.
“It sadden our mind that such an ugly occurrence like this could still be happening in this contemporary world of ours,†Mrs. Mark was quoted as saying in a statement by Mr. Soji Ikotun, her media assistant.
“We have come to commiserate with the Governor and the good people of Plateau State, and also to give our token of relief to the victims of the clash.
