How rebranding can reposition economy for Vision 20: 2020, Danjuma
The re-branding exercise by the Federal Government will pave the way for more foreign investments to come in and reposition Nigeria ’s economy to achieve its Vision 20: 2020 agendaâ€. These were the words of the managing director and chief executive officer, Guepard Productions Nigeria Limited, Mrs. Caroline Danjuma.
Danuma, who spoke, in Lagos, while unveiling plans by the company to organise a carnival in commemoration of the 50th anniversary of the nation, stressed that the economy must be diversified for national development. “We must support the efforts of government to propel economic growth the shortest possible time. The carnival will be utilised as a tool to accentuate the re-branding exercise currently going on in the country. However, we intend to modify and structure our programmes to align with existing designs to boost the image of Nigeria â€, she stressed.
According to her, there would be seminars and documentary to showcase various activities in different sectors of Nigeria ’s economy in three categories starting from the pre-colonial colonial era. She said, “Individuals who have contributed to the growth of our economy shall be rewarded. Renowned personalities will also be given opportunity to impact people’s life through motivational and innovation talks aimed at building our economy for greater development. We will also use this platform to celebrate our rich cultural heritage as we usher in the independenceâ€.
Danjuma added that all sectors of the economy including entertainment must be given serious attention for the country to move forward.
