AKUREâ€”THE new Olugbo of Ugbo in Ilaje Council area of Ondo State, Oba Fredrick Obateru Akinruntan yesterday denied that the Federal Government had abandoned the multi billion naira Olokola Free Trade Zone project.
The former President Olusegun Obasanjo had in 2004 inaugurated the project which was a tripartite agreement between the Federal Government, state government and stakeholders in the maritime and export business.
Speaking with newsmen at 62nd anniversary of Ugbonla,Â the traditional ruler said he had it on good authority that the project would soon take off fully.
Oba Akinruntan said the stakeholders should be rest assured that the project would not suffer abandonment.
