Enugu—DOCTOR Kehinde Sofoluwe, Rector, Federal School of Dental Technology and Therapy, has said that the institution will soon be upgraded to a degree awarding institution.
Sofoluwe announced this in Enugu during the 20th Matriculation ceremony of the institution.
She urged the 227 matriculating students to exhibit reasonable level of self-control, hard work and confidence in order to succeed.
Sofoluwe said the students were inducted through various orientation lectures by exposing them to rules and regulations governing their conduct.
“Students of this institution are known to be law-abiding, eschewing all negative vices and youthful exuberances prevalent in some higher institutions. I wish to reiterate that this institution abhors all manners of impropriety, obscenity, surreptitious affiliations and examination malpractices,’’ she said.
Sofoluwe implored parents to support their children financially to enable them meet up with their needs.
Dr Sylvan Ebigwei, Chairman of the institution’s Governing Board, assured the students that with the level of infrastructural development, more changes would be attracted to the institution.
