DeltaÂ State House of Assembly Committee on the stateÂ Oil Producing Areas DevelopmentÂ Commission (DESOPADEC), led by Chief Monday Igbuya, has commended the commission for its â€œvast, people-oriented and life transforming projects across the stateâ€.
The team made this commendation during a visit to Ashaka/Aboh 12km road, Biomass plant project at Oleh, the 4.7km Oleh Township roadÂ dualisation with street lights, Arhadhe school classrooms, Delta Poly lecture theatre at Ozoro and the 21km Arhagba/Obodo-Etti/Igbuku road at Orogun out of the over 648 projects being executed by the commission.
Igbuya said, â€œThese are very good projects. I want fund to be released for the completion. This Biomass project,Â for instance, apart from its employment potentials, will help the state and Isoko people greatly.
â€œPlease, release fund for these projects to be completed because when we shall come here for campaign, these shall be our testimony that we have done well, we will have something to point toâ€.
The House committee also visited the ultra modern operation theatre at the Ughelli Central Hospital, Otughievwen Secondary School fencing, desk provision and classroom, and the ultra modern Erhioke Housing Estate, all executed by the commission.
Igbuya and members of the committee expressed satisfactionÂ that such projects were being executed by theÂ commission.
His words: â€œI want to commend DESOPADEC and their contractors for being so wonderful in the projects executionâ€.
He, however, advised the commission to ensure that the projects are completed on time to enable benefitting communities enjoy them before the campaigns kick off later in the year.
