In its continuing efforts to properly position insurance practitioners for efficient and effective delivery of insurance products and services in the country, the Chartered Insurance Institute of Nigeria (CIIN) will next week organize a special Mandatory Continuing Professional Development (MCPD) programme tagged “Business Outlook for 2010.â€
The one day programme will provide the forum for an intensive interaction among participants on a review of the performance of the Insurance Industry in 2009 while charting the way forward for 2010.
The forum also provides a good opportunity for appreciating the Market Development and Restructuring Initiative (MDRI) of the National Insurance Commission, the Industry Regulator, a release from the institute stated.
With speakers and discussants drawn from the Financial Services Sector, the Insurance sub-sector and the Regulatory authority, the forum promises to be incisive and beneficial for all participants who owe their employers the duty to recreate and reposition their organizations.
CIIN DG, Mr. Adegboyega Adepegba states that the programme is highly subsidized by the CIIN Council in order to encourage attendance and participation by a vast majority of practitioners.
Adepegba admonished industry stakeholders to see the programme as their own even though it is a CIIN initiative stating, ““We are putting everything within our disposal into making a huge success of the programme. It is our humble contribution to the Industry we call our ownâ€â€. He further stated, ““If the Industry does well, we all, as individuals will do wellâ€â€.
