Champions League: Heineken sends six consumers to final match

Heineken Champions Planet IV located on Victoria Island, Lagos came alive again on Tuesday with commencement of the for the knockout stage of the UEFA Champions League with several celebrities and Captains of Industries on hand to capture all the matches on schedule.

“Last year, we sponsored three consumers to watch the final match at the Stadio Olympico Stadium in Rome, Italy and it was a memorable experience to them and as a brand with great desire to  satisfy our consumers, six of them will join us at the final on May 22nd in Spain,” he explained.

Already in bar promotion as began nation wide which will involve selection of consumers through raffle draw to join celebrities and Captains of Industries to come and watch all the matches on big screens at the Heineken Planet House after which the final selection would be made known to the public.

Heineken began global sponsorship of the UEFA Champions League in 2005 and the competition has command immersed followership in Nigeria with several football fans passionately support many of the top European clubs, sharing in their triumphs and losses. The awareness of the competition in the country has risen to unassailable heights.

Last year, the Heineken brand brought to millions of Nigerians the UEFA Champions League trophy. The trophy safely toured various locations over three-day activation with over 5, 000 fans were on hand at the open day activation before trophy left to Egypt.
