BIRNIN-KUDU â€”Â A member of the House of Representatives, representing Birnin-Kudu/Buji Federal constituency, Alhaji Muhammad Sabo Nakudu, has donated hospital equipment worth N8 million to Birnin-Kudu general hospital in Jigawa State.
Delivering his speech, Alhaji Nakudusaid the gesture was aimed at complimenting the efforts of the present government of Sule Lamidoâ€™s giant stride in boosting the health care delivery system to the teeming populace of the state.
He said he would do everything possible within his power to provide more basic amenities such as water in particular to the hospital which is among the problems affecting the health facility.
Nakudu further explained that last year, Jigawa was recorded as the state with the high rate of maternal mortality in the federation but with some efforts put on ground by Lamido-led government the menace would soon become a thing of the past.
â€œWe are determined to join hands with the present government to achieve its targeted objectives in all human endeavours,â€ he said.
The hospital equipment donated by the federal lawmaker includes beds, mattresses, plastic chairs, digital micro-scope, surgical materials and lanterns, among others.
