UGHELLI — THE member representing Bomadi Local Government Area in Delta State House of Assembly, Mr. Reginald Dombraye, has flayed Nigerian Bar Association, NBA, for calling for the resignation of President Umaru Musa
Yar’Adua over of ill-health, saying the group’s call was not in the interest of the nation.
Dombraye, who stated this while fielding questions from newsmen, said, “what is expected of any good Nigerian is sincere prayer for the quick recovery of Mr. President and not calling for his resignation.
“The Nigeria Bar Association is an enemy of democracy because they should not be crying more than the bereaved. Constitu-tionally, if the President dies, the vice president takes over.â€
According to him, the absence of President Yar’Adua does not affect governance and Vice President Goodluck
Jonathan is doing what was expected of him.
“I want to advise Nigerians to disregard the moves of the NBA and all those calling for the resignation of Mr President.â€
