Mr Michael Aondoakaa, Attorney-General of the Federation and Minister of Justice, has said in Abuja that President Umaru Yar’Adua had delegated his power to Vice President Goodluck Jonathan.

A group of repentant ex-militants led by a former “general”, John Togo, yesterday, said the leadership tussle that almost tore the Movement for the Emancipation of the Niger-Delta (MEND) apart, last year, over the appointment of their Aaron Team has been laid to rest and that Henry Okah has now been recognized as general leader of ex-militant leaders in the Niger-Delta.

THE traditional ruler of Kabowei kingdom in Delta State , His   Majesty, Major L. M. Erebulu (rtd) says he has not endorsed  any aspirant for any elective position in the kingdom.

The Federal Government declared yesterday that it has awarded contracts for the construction, reconstruction and rehabilitations of 67 highway projects across the country in the contract sum of N224, 496,653,183.61 in the last one year.

A Federal high court sitting in Abuja yesterday declared that President Umaru Musa Yar’Adua is not under any obligation to hand_over the executive powers of his office to Vice President Jonathan Goodluck while travelling out of the country for medical treatment.

Apart from what Obasanjo described as Jonathan’s excellent achievements, he is seen as a man who does not rock the boat, never allowing his personal ambition to rock policies, doesn’t scheme out his boss and doesn’t sow seeds of discord or plant seeds of dissatisfaction But this may also be his weakness, at least many think it is. Jonathan has just about one year to show the stuff he is made of.
