ENUGU—TRADITIONAL Ruler of Ohofia-Ndumeze Kingdom in Aninri Local Government Area of Enugu State, Igwe Onyioha Nwanjoku, has officially received his staff of office from the Enugu State Government.
Governor Sullivan Chime presented the staff, which is a symbol of authority to Nwanjoku, a former chairman of the PDP in the state during coronation as the Ndumeze I of Ndumeze Kingdom.
Presenting the staff, Chime charged royal fathers in the state to always exhibit exemplary leadership in piloting the affairs of their various domains.
He said that “as royal fathers, a lot is expected of them by their subjects,†adding that the present government holds the natural leaders in a very high esteem and has decided to provide the enabling environment for them to function in their communities.
Chime assured that his administration would continue to accord the royal fathers their rightful place in the state and expressed his administration’s readiness to collaborate with them with a view to realizing the dream of a new Enugu State.
