It has now become a tradition!
Every year, Nigeria’s favourite showbiz couple Tunde and Wunmi Obe will host lovers to a lavish and romantic ball; in celebration of the day globally dedicated to love and lovers February 14.
And as it was last year when they took lovers on a sail around Lagos; aboard the prestigious Nire Prest the couple has announced they’re heading to the sea again this year with more couples, more music, more comedy, more food and fine wine; and more romance in the air!
“February 14 is almost here again. My wife and I are excited, as we look forward to having a nice, fun filled evening in the midst of some of the most beautiful couples any one can ever wish to associate withâ€, Tunde Obe says in a release issued this week.
“Love is a beautiful thing; it’s the solution to the world’s problems war, violence, terrorism, corruption, name it! If we all loved the next person as much as ourselves; there won’t be so much evil in the world. For us, that’s the essence of Valentine; love in it’s full form not just for married couples or young; excited lovers. But for everyone who has a heart; a soul. Everyone capable of loving genuinelyâ€
This year’s event, billed for February 14, will be on the Nire Prest Cruise Liner; with performances by A list musicians and comedians.
Organised by TWO’s KopyKat Entertainment, Cupid’s Ball is Nigeria’s most enduring annual lover’s event; and the most celebrated. Past events have held at EKO Hotels and Lagoon Restaurant in Victoria Island, Lagos.
This year’s edition is in collaboration with Primetime Entertainment; with support from Soundcity, theNETng.com, Now Muzik, Dejavu, Kennis Communications, Encomium Weekly and others.
What more? As usual, there will be the blind date game; as well as a lingerie show a segment that has become very popular with guests over the years.
