KANO â€” Nigeria national career for 2009 Hajj to Saudi Arabia, Kabo Air Limited has completed the airlift of all the 31,324 pilgrims allotted to it back to the country.
Briefing journalistsÂ in Kano, Corporate Affairs Manager of the airline, Alhaji Aminu Hamza, explained that Kabo Air lifted pilgrims from 10 states comprising of seven zones.
According to the manager, the zones are Abuja, Gombe, Minna, Kaduna, Kano, Sokoto and Yola, adding that the exercise was hitch free.
Hamza said the last aircraft which conveyed 432 passengers who were mainly officials from National Hajj Commission as well as Kano and Sokoto zone Pilgrims Welfare Boards ended the journey at Malam Aminu Kano International Airport with 44 passengers in the early hours of Sunday.
He said despite having the highest number of passengers this year, the airline was able to complete the exercise as scheduled, noting that the successful conduct of the 2009 Hajj to Saudi Arabia marked yet another landmark in the history of the Hajj airlift in Nigeria.
The Cooperate Affairs Manager revealed that through out the one month long exercise the Airliner did not disrupt its scheduled flight to Dubai and Cairo .
