Former Super Eagles midfielder and erstwhile coach of Sharks Football Club, Moses Kpakor has reiterated his believe that the bunch of players in the Super Eagles for the African Cup of Nations would lift the trophy.
Kpakor who spoke to Saturday Vanguard Sports in Makurdi noted that the players have exhibited enough potentials to become champions of Africa, advising that Nigerians should continue to pray for the team to excel in the championship.
According to the former player, the chances of the team to emerge victorious at the championship are brighter than what entailed at the two previous tournaments.
He opined that the crop of players in camp and their coaching crew have struck a rhythm that would see them come out tops in Angola as he urged the players to take each opponent as they come and always ensure that they take the fight to their opponents.
Kpakor charged the Eagles to subdue the Pharaohs of Egypt in their opening match and thereafter consolidate on that victory by picking all the points in the other two group encounters.
The Former Lobi Stars coach who lauded Shaibu Amodu’s coaching prowess and his ability to make Nigeria proud said, “Our chances are as bright as everâ€.
“We have been potential winners in 20 years and now we look good as winners because this team is better than teams that featured in the immediate past two Nations Cup tournaments. And we now have better coaching staff and the boys are ready to deliver. I strongly believe that we will lift the trophy†Kpakor said.
