ABEOKUTA â€“ GOVERNOR Olugbenga Daniel of Ogun State today expressed shock and utter revulsion on the brutal killing of the Action Congress gubernatorial candidate in the April, 2007 polls, Otunba Dipo Dina.
Daniel in his reaction described it as a heinous and criminal act whose perpetrators must be made to pay for the crime.
He then directed the state police command and other security agencies to all that would be possible to apprehend and bring to justice all the people behind the dastardly act.
Daniel said â€œI am shocked and saddened by the reprehensible and ungodly act. It is a condemnable act and those responsible must be speedily brought to justice by security agencies. This is one case that the police must do all that is possible to crackâ€
The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in the same vein said that the news came as a rude shock adding that he was a non-violent person that believed in using instrumentality of law to address his grievances.
State Publicity Secretary, Mr. Deji KalejaiyeÂ in a statement condemned â€œthe circumstances surrounding his death in totalityâ€ adding that the PDP in the state believed in politics without bitterness and detests any criminal and unhealthy behavior.
