KADUNA — National Chairman of the Citizens Popular Party, CPP, Chief Maxi Okwu, has expressed shock over the alarm raised by Dr. Chris Nwabueze Ngige, the governorship candidate of the Anambra State’s Action Congress, AC, for the 6 February election.
Ngige had stated that his name was missing in the voter’s register. Okwu said the situation was a minus for the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC.
Okwu said that Ngige’s allegation, coming on the heels of the dismissal of eight officials of INEC and the suspension of 11, cast doubts over the election’s credibilty.
