ABUJA—FORMER Federal Commissioner, Chief Edwin Clark has called on both the Federal Government and the Plateau State governor, Jonah Jang to stop playing politics with the crisis in Jos if the problem must be nipped in the bud.
According to the elder statesman, there was the need for the Federal Government and Plateau State to work together in synergy, as a way of finding lasting solution to the recurrent sectarian violence in the hitherto, peaceful state, adding that there must be no sacred cows as those found wanting must be brought to book.
“There must be no sacred cows, people must be arrested, there are eminent people in the state, they are not dying, only innocent people die. The Federal Government must be more realistic and do not play politics with it. Previous reports affecting Jos were released, those responsible should be brought to book. It is now time for Nigerians to decide that where ever you are, you are a Nigerian, it is not only in Josâ€.
