APGA vows to resist rigging of Anambra guber poll

NATIONAL Chairman of All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA), Chief Victor Umeh, yesterday, warned those  planning to rig the  February 6 governorship election in Anambra State to drop the idea saying the party would resist any attempt by any contestant or political party to deny the people of the state their rights to elect a governor of their choice.

He spoke at Abagana, Njikoka Local government Area of Anambra State during the conferment on him of a chieftaincy title of Dike Anagbalizu by the traditional ruler of the town, His Royal Majesty, Obi Mbamalu Okeke at his 11th Iguaro and Ofala festival which was attended by eminent personalities including the state Governor, Mr. Peter Obi.

In his speech at the occasion, Governor Obi thanked the people of Abagana community for their support to his government and promised that his government would continue to strive towards the development of all communities in line with his campaign promises.
