Yar’ Adua: Mutallab urges for more prayers

Chairman of the Business Working Group of the Vision 20: 2020 Committee, Alhaji Umaru Mutallab has joined the growing list of eminent Nigerians that are urging the nation to pray for the quick recovery of President Umaru Musa Yar’ Adua.
Alhaji Mutallab who recently retired as Chairman, First Bank Nigeria Plc expressed the view that good health and life and death are in the hands of Almighty Allah pointing out that all well meaning Nigerians owe President Yar’ Adua prayers to ensure his quick recovery from the illness that has kept him in a Saudi Hospital in the past couple of weeks.

The Boardroom guru who is also the President of the Old Boys Association of the prestigious Barewa College (BOBA) spoke at a recent Annual General Meeting of the association in Zaria, Kaduna State.

“As you are all aware, the President, Commander-in_Chief of the Nigerian Armed Forces, Alhaji Umaru Musa Yar’Adua, is in a Saudi Hospital recovering from an illness. I want to specially thank the Almighty Allah for his quick recovery and for his safe trip back home.
Let me also, use this medium to call on all Nigerians to continue to pray for His Excellency and wish him speedy recovery. We look forward to having him back soon,” Alhaji Mutallab explained.

Alhaji Mutallab further called for caution in the on_going debate on the President’s health reminding Nigerians that their president is also a human being.

Baruwa College is one of the most prestigious colleges in the country and holds the special privilege of being the breeding ground of most of Nigeria’s leaders.

Former Head of State Gen. Yakubu Gowon, former President Alhaji Shehu Shagari, the Sultan of Sokoto, Alhaji Muhammad Sa’ad Abubakar III, the Emir of Zazzau, Alhaji Shehu Idris as well as President Umaru Musa Yar’ Adua are all old boys of the famous Baruwa College.
