Alhaji Ibrahim Galadima, former Chairman of the Nigeria Football Federation, is looking forward to the forthcoming West Africa University Games Football and Hockey competition with high hopes.
Galadima has advised the NFF and NHF to capitalize on the event to bring out hidden talents in the country.
He said, I expect a keen contest in football and hockey because these are youths just coming up as raw talents. I believe the visitors to appreciate the facilities in Bayero University
â€œThis is a big chance for the NFF and NHF to get good talents for the country. Many Nigerian Universities will be at the evnt.
The Vice-Chancellor of Bayero University, Prof. Attahiru Jega, said that the competition would be a great show for the institutions in the sub region.
â€œSo far 60 Universities in 17 countries have confirmed participation at the event and that is enough indication that we are in for a big show.â€
The CEO of Composite Brands, the outfit marketing the event, Alhaji Suleiman Baba Ali, said sponsors have shown great interest in the competition.
â€œWe are working hard to bring in many organizations to make the event a big one for the participants from various parts of Africa,â€ Baba Ali said.
