ASABA—MEMBER representing Ika federal constituency, Doris Uboh, yesterday at Agbor, Delta State, organized a special prayer session for the quick recovery of President Umaru Yar’Adua, noting that what the president needed now was intercessory prayer.
Uboh, during the prayer session, said it had become necessary to pray for the health of the president considering the reports on his present condition of health.
She also raised prayer points for the Vice President, Dr. Goodluck Jonathan, and other leaders, including Delta State governor, Dr. Emmanuel, for wisdom in governance.
A few days ago in Asaba, a similar prayer session was also held. It was during the occasion of the formal inauguration of the state chapter of a group known as Yar’Adua for New Nigerian (YNN)
Coordinator of the group, Chief Ighoyota Amori, while addressing the gathering, called on Nigerians not to lose hope over the ability of President Umaru Yar’Adua to complete his tenure, saying the president would not resign as some people were contemplating.
According to Amori, the president’s health is very stable and he is capable of discharging his duties. He pointed out that the inauguration of the YNN in the state was a strong attestation to the fact that the president was alive to his duties to Nigerians, adding that “this organization stands behind the president and we are praying for his quick recovery.â€
