FOLLOWING the suggestion by the speaker of House of Representatives, Mr Dimeji Bankole, that Ogun State Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) be “rearranged†as a means of moving the party forward, a member of the House of Representatives has described the opinion as ill-timed and unnecessary.
Mr Kayode Amusan, a member representing Obafemi Owode/Abeokuta North/Odeda Federal Constituency, told Sunday Vanguard that the party leadership in Ogun State was not only credible but also stable. Amusan stressed that what the speaker suggested was belated as all the trouble within the party in the state has become a thing of the past.
Amusan said: “I have always reiterated that PDP in Ogun State is indivisible, a manifestation of this was the lingering crisis between the executive and legislative arms of government which was finally put to rest on Wednesday. We should, therefore, allow sleeping dogs to lie. The speaker’s comparison of Ogun State exco with that of Oyo State is uncalled for because the executives in Ogun State were duly and credibly elected while there was no election into Oyo State exco.
All the evidences and the records are there.â€
