ENUGU—A group, Total Mandate Organisation for Sullivan Chime of Enugu State, has reacted to the recent increase of the voters registration across the state, saying the organisation which has presence in all the 17 local governments areas of the state, had been able to sensitize the populace ahead of tomorrow’s local government election in the state.
Leader of the group, Mr Jide Chime, noted that his organisation was overwhelmed by its large membership, which he attributed to the unprecedented democracy dividends as presently witnessed since the creation of the state.
He commended Governor Chime for his untiring efforts towards improving the lot of the masses with such programmes as improved healthcare delivery through the successful introduction of free health and maternal healthcare, rehabilitation of rural roads, which has enabled farmers to evacuate their produce at less costs, provision of security equipment to the security forces for the combating of crime and an enabling environment for the workers, whose salaries are now regularly paid at the end of every month.
He said that as part of the Governor’s effort to ensure better life for the people of the state, many investors would be visiting the Coal City State as part of the centenary celebration of Enugu City.
He enjoined voters to go out tomorrow and cast their votes for the chairmen, to give them the chance to continue with the good work of the state government.
