Access Bank unveils champions forum

As anxiety among Europe’s elite clubs mounts over which team will top the various groups of the ongoing UEFA Champions League, official broadcast partner for the championship on Hitv, Access Bank, will next week treat a select crowd to its Champions Forum in Lagos.

The event scheduled for Tuesday, December 8, in the high brow Protea Hotel on Awolowo Road in Ikoyi, will afford some customers of the bank and a select media audience ample room to experience first class soccer in an unforgettable ambience.

The bank’s Executive Director, Commercial Banking and Chairman of Access Bank UEFA Project, Mr. Obeahon Ohiwerei, said the gathering will afford soccer fans an opportunity of watching the highest level of club football in a way never before seen in these parts. Choice foods and drinks are expected to be served at the occasion, that the bank says will be periodic and exclusive.

All the games scheduled for the day will be shown at the venue. They include the group decider between Manchester United and Obafemi Martins’ Wolfsburg , Taiye Taiwo’s Olympic Marseille versus star_studded Real Madrid, FC Zurich which parades Nigeria ’s Onyekachi Apam against AC Milan. The hair_raising game between Juventus FC of Italy and German giants Bayern Munich, which will decide which tea goes to the knock_out stage and the game between already qualified Chelsea FC and Apoel Nicosia.

Mr Ohiwerei revealed that all that was necessary to make the occasion a memorable one have been put in place, adding that it was part of the bank’s plan of not only stimulating its customers passion for soccer, but also promoting national unity through soccer and enhancing international attention of Brand Nigeria.

It will be recalled that the bank recently announced that some of its lucky customers will make trips to watch live UEFA Champions League games in an unprecedented promo that its customers are already itching to clinch.
