We’ll whack Eagles 5-0, says Kenyan minister
By Fidelis Ebu, Abuja
Kenyan assistant sports minister, Kabando-wa-Kabando, has predicted 5-0 bashing of the Green Eagles by the Harambee Stars in the final phase of 2010 World Cup qualifier.
Kabando said the whitewashing of the Eagles would bring succour to the tumultous Kenyan football.
“We lost 3-0 in Abuja, but this time in Nairobi, we will whip the Green Eagles 5-0 to bring smiles to the Kenyan people.
“We want the victory so as to be in Angola next year for the African Cup of Nations. A win in Nairobi on November 14 will definitely give us the ticket to be in Angola next year. Our football has not known peace in the recent past, and the victory over the Green Eagles will restore peace as well as give us the desired ticket to Angolaâ€, Kabando-wa-Kabando said in a telephone conversation yesterday.
