A source to the bank had indicatedÂ that the bankâ€™s new corporate identity will involve repositioning and reinvigoration of the bankâ€™s service delivery culture as well as a change of its logo and colours. In addition, activities such as a business meeting for stakeholders and a product promotional campaign worth millions of naira are also planned to coincide with the public presentation of the new corporate identity.
Industry pundits posits that the new identity, which was developed by a South African firm, is aimed at giving impetus to the bankâ€™s service delivery and competitiveness. Moreover, by adopting a new corporate identity the bank hopes to create a refreshing look and feel through its corporate brand assets. Accordingly, a modified corporate signature and new colour schemes will highlight the distinctive attributes and values of the bank which recently received a pass mark from the CBN for its ethical corporate governance practice.
Our reporter also learned that the bank has been quietly cultivating in its staff a new culture of quality service delivery while building improved systems and processes expected of a 21st century business. In addition to the adoption of a new corporate identity, Unity Bank hopes to create in its branches nationwide a welcoming and caring atmosphere for customers that will be comparable to any world class business enterprise.
Meanwhile, it was also gathered that Unity Bank is planning a bumper promo with prizes worth millions of naira to be won nationwide. Among the prizes said to be on offer are cars, HDTV sets, freezers and generators. The promo will likely be flagged off on the same day as the unveiling of the new corporate identity of the bank. Industry watchers are eagerly awaiting the development as this would mark the first time Unity Bank is delving into the product promo sector.
